How do you sharpen expandables???

I use the 100 grain Rocket Steelheads, and some of the blades have tiny nicks but are otherwise in good shape.

Does anybody have tips or tricks on sharpening techniques and tools???

I would use a premium bullet of at least 140 grains. The 7mm08 is 100-200 fps slower than the .280. Nobody would question the .280 for your situation. At what range would the .280 kill the deer...

Exellenent choice except I would go with 7mm, better selection of bullets. The .270 and 7mm are so close in caliber (.277 vs .284) that it makes sense to me to go with the one with better bullet...
