atleast browning doesn't have all the plastic like remington!

I think the most over rated rifles are the Weatherby's and the expensive custom guns, pushed by the magazines!
Unless you are a competion shooter, I think any good brand in the 4 to 7 hundred dollar range will be as good as a 3 thousand dollar rifle!

With the exception of the m70 classic, I can't think of anything made by winchester that isn't better made by another manufacturer at a lower price. The same goes for Ruger bolt and semi-auto rifles.

Anything chambered in Short Magnum.

I should also include any brand sold by Wal Mart for below "wholesale+10%" of a FFL holders mark-up. BEWARE OF THOSE!!!!
