Rack-Attack - I tried shooting underwater too. I had heard about bowfishing and wanted to try it. I wasn't successful because I can't hold my breath that long.

Hunting is a right, treat it like a priviledge - respect nature

one problem i had was my 2 piece quiver making noise. what i did was use some rubber and line the inside of the top sticking in place with scilicon, cut down on the noise and protects the broadheads from rubbing on the plastic cover.

Frank, a wise old Comanche once told me, &quot; If a man tells you he's the chief in his own tipi, he will lie about other things as well.&quot; <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

My most radical silencing method is to increase arrow weight to 9 grains per pound. It will quiet down a loud bow. It will make a quiet bow scary.

in all honesty I shoot a Mathews and I was shooting with some guys who shoot PSE and Hoyt and my bow was far quieter than thiers were and the only thing I had to quiet it down were limb savers and two string scliencers on each end
Oh by the way I shoot an MQ32

good luck and God bless

My 10 yr old Browning Mirage w/80# draw wt. Use to sound like a tank's turrent recoiling after a shot, lol. But the bow has kept me in a high success rate with Roosevelt Elk. So i have put time into silencing this mechanical beast. 1st for increase of speed & silence on the draw, I installed a &quot;Arch Rival&quot; combo overdraw/arrow rest (Great product). Limb Savers made quite the reduction in vibration, Doinker stablizer has also eliminated vibration, although my buddies mock it's appearance. The biggest noise reduction i encountered was, eliminating my Fine Line sights. The wire for these sites sings a very high pitched tune when your draw weight is up there. Speed balls also helped string noise. Removed tubing for peep sight.
This old bow is shooting at 268-272 fps.

Right before a hunt, you can put nail polish on the tips of your arrow rest. The only draw back of this is you might ave to do it a day in advance so it doesnt smell. But it really, really silences the rest. I shoot an SQ2 with XX78 arrows that weigh around 540 grains, and at a tournement today, i got a bunch of compliments on how quiet my bow was. The guy was sayin all he could here was the arrow. So i was pumped up. lol. I also put rubber between accesories.
