I put a few apples out with my normal feed the other day.Normally they go crazy over apples .They destroy my apple trees in fall.But they wont touch the apples this time of year.They ignore them and they laid there for days before a coon ate them.Whats with that.Do they only eat apples when there in season? PICKY,PICKY

CD that is weird, normally they scarf them right up, CD do me a favor and put a banana out there and see what they do. I have heard they love the smell of them.

thats weird . around here they are still digging around in the snow by our apple trees looking for a free meal.

I have deer here in VA that I threw some apples in a field the other day and they were gone in a few hours. I am assuming that the deer got them.

Maybe they've gotten apples from every Curley, larry and Shemp around

Yeah - thats a bit weird - do they ever eat apples from your feeders late in the season - or just this year? I'm sure you've had the warm winter we've had as well this year - we also had a bumper crop of apples going into fall - there are still trees with apples under them in my area - the deer seem to be very picky on which trees they'll eat under this winter.

Have you ever put carrots out? We did once and they couldn't get enough of them.

FarmHunter,Last year they ignored them also untill it got snowy.I quess it just aint there choice.I mixed roasted soybeans with my feed this winter and they love it.Its causing fights all the time at the feeder.

IF you can get SUGAR BEETS in your area, in the fall. Deer LOVE those
BEETS!!!
