I shoot a .416 Rigby magnum with a 400 grain TB Solid bullet. Do you think this is too much for deer sized animals? I have taken several Cape Buffalo with this round and was wondering if I should use it for deer next year.

DANG........a .416.......i would go to a 30-06 or a 7mm mag.........unless you want your deer to be ruined

Here in Michigan, we call that a &quot;Boys&quot; caliber... Yeah it's a bit much.... Think about it...

Personally I prefer the .460 weatherby. Those 150lb deer can be pretty tough sometimes.

I personally won't tote anything less than my .600 Nitro Magnum.
