IN southwest New York things are picking up...

IN southwest New York things are picking up quickly. Bucks are chasing and seeking hard. Although I saw a nice 8 pt. locked down with a doe last wednesday. Scary!

I have never had a Lone Wolf but I just bought a Summit and love it after 6 or 7 hunts. As long as you practice with it it is quiet and easy to put up. Summit Viper SS. I am 6' tall and 210#.

Nope. I go scent free most of hunting season. If I have a few days in a row of work I will use regular soap, shampoo, deodorant and cologne, but I stop using it at least the day before the hunt....

Good luck, I hope you get him. The bucks are definitely covering some ground in NY. I actually saw an 8 pt, locked own with a doe on wed. morning. She was drawing in several bucks and he ran them all...

Cold feet!!

I have been using Lacrosse Alpha Burly w/ 1200 grams of thinsulate with wool blend socks and I still freeze on a 30 degree morning after an hour on stand!! What are your suggestions?

Deodorant, what do you use?

I have used the many hunting brands and they just flake off and make a mess, gathering in your shirt around your waist. I used Sure unscented soft solid for awhile butI can't find it anymore....

Police Officer. Work 7 -10 hour days and get 7 off. 14 days of vacation and 3 personal days. Lots of time to hunt when I'm not going to training or working OT.

I will be hunting whitetails, coyotes, fox and woodchucks in SW New York and Northern PA. Maybe the .270 is a bit too much for the 'chucks!
