yes...i went turkey hunting last week and i just stepped into the woods not expecting to see a thing and 5 steps later a hen flew up less that 10ft from me....nearly scared me to death:)

thank you...the turkey scored 29pts it was 18lbs half inch spurs and a beard length of 5.25inches...im still really happy even tho it was a jake...

do hens and jakes/toms have the same fan??? the reason i asked this is i was walking down a hill and turkey flew up but i didnt shoot it because it appeared to be brown but the fan looked like a toms...

i spooked a gobbler today when i went hunting...he was at the bottom of a reivine and wouldnt come up so i went down and i saw him fly away...it didnt look like he flew very far...i plan on taking 2...

i read an article in my turkey call mag i think that was the name of it that an older tom might not come to the hen decoys if he sees a jake because he knows he would get easily hurt and doesnt want...
