Hey, I used to use the 20 gauge when i first started out but now i use a .22 LR or recently i have found the excitement and challenge of hunting them with a bow...if you try that be sure to bring back-up because i have had them run up trees even with a well placed shot.

I use a Marlin 1897 Century Limited (39A) with Burris 4-12x32 w/AO.

I like to use a .22mag and concentrate on head shots. If I want a bunch to eat I use a .22LR.

usually a 12ga, but shot a pesky one today with a benjamin pump- had to chase him and step on his head before he got back up the tree.

For ground squirrels I use my Marlin Model 60 .22LR. As a matter of fact, I went out yesterday. I was able to get two in the few minutes that I was out. Mainly wanted to go see what the roads were like and tried to find a few coyotes, but didn't really get too serious about hunting squirrels. Didn't see any coyotes either.

22lr. and 410ga.

A heavily modified 10/22...carbon fiber bbl, volquartsen trigger group, target stock, 4 x 12 AO Leupold, Burris Zee rings, Powre Custom base mounted to both the reciever and the bbl and a volquartsen bullet stabilization comp. Of course the squirrels don't care, but it makes it more fun for me.

i use my remington 572 .22lr but im thinking for fall im taking the 4-10
