Default ...And 2 More makes 3

Well it happened today. I killed 2, a tom and a jake. I was chasing a tom all morning and he would get close then leave get close then leave...gobblin like crazy. I had him so close his damn gobbles were shaking me around. But it was in the forest and i couldnt get a good shot. Next thing i know he is a mile away just gobblin and leaving my area. Damn hen must have gottne him with all the gobblin he was doing. I would stop hand he would just keep gobblin.

So i get my decoy and head up to the top where an old food plot is. I set my hen up and start calling.I really didnt expect to see much i really was just enjoying the outdoors and having fun. I wasnt paying attention and i was sanding my calls and what not and out of the corner of my eye 2 turkeys are approachin. Sneaking in and being very quiet.
Well to make a long story short as they got into range i pulled the trigger and all i heard was CLICK. I was shocked, well let me say i was going nuts inside my skin. I forgot to load one in it after i got out of the truck. I was mentally beating myself in the head the butt of my shotgun. I thought for sure they heard that, but they kept on looking at the hen. Well i slowly racked another one in, which i thought i was being louder than a freight train, and let the tom have it. Hit the tom and dropped him, the jake moved about 10 feet and was just staring at the tom but he had bushes in front of 47 and . So i jumped up like i was in the matrix and dropped him and I. Damn it was a good shot. I know it was a jake but hell this is my first year and my first double....well if it counts as a double.

I will post pics soon. I had to take them on a regular camera so i have to get it developed.
Here are the stats of the birds

Tom:
17 lbs
7 inch beard
3/4
spurs

Jake:
14 lbs
3 inch beard
1/2 spur
