I always use a .22 LR. My first time out as a kid - .410, but graduated up to using sights rather quickly.

Also, If I end up buying a .223 for coyotes, and I have now luck on a hunt, I would probably try to go home with at least a squirrel. I guess I better make sure it's a head shot with that .223, eh?

.410 when the leaves are on...22 S&W Pistol w/ 4X scope when the leaves are off. I now have a 17HMR that I'm going to use a little this fall.

In the past i have used .22, shotgun (12 and 20), pellet gun, Glock 40.

I been trying with bow but out here its just too hard to get close because the land is all open and too easy for them to spot me before i get close. I am hoping when i go camping i'll be able to get one with a bow. Its a challenge but really fun.
