HS...yeah...this is all public lands....state forests yanno?..but truly, not alot of people hunt turkeys around here..the birds aren't getting the hunting pressure you'd think on public land...

in the late season...leave the jakes in the truck or better yet...at home...the norm for breeding turkeys is...the tom gobbles...the hens hear him and GO to him...what we're trying to do is make it...

i try..(note the key word 'TRY')..to sit tight for two hours or so..this gives the toms or hens to work their way into the fields in search of my dekes..even if i dont hear any gobbling i'm pretty...

if you have both...do what maytom suggested...use both...if your looking to buy one over the other....the feeding hen would be a better choice i think...it may limit your calling to the hens docile...
