WHOPPER BLUE TURKEY WAS FULL STRUT ON THE ROOST *PIC*
Gang,
This big boy was gobbling hard and in full strut on the roost for 20 minutes before he flew down. I saw a hen in the tree nextto him, as well. He pitched down first and I gave 3 slight yelps and that was all it took. I shot him at 40 yds. He weighed 21 lbs, had a 9" beard and had 1 1/8" & 1 1/4"
spurs.
What I really liked about him was his irradesscence... usually it is a greenish copper, but this gobbler appears BLUE!!
