Now that the season comes to a close it's time to do some 3D shooting.
I'll go to the range a few times & maybe shoot at my target in my backyard.
I know I'll be back in woods just to check things out & maybe look for some good spots to hang a stand or two.

Well, I'm definately going to be busy til next season but I'm not going to look past this fall archery season. It'll be here before we know it. SO, the first thing that comes to mind is shooting the bow the rest of the year in preparation.

I'm also working on a food plot. Most of the work is done because it's seeded however I'll need to go in a mow it once or twice and I'm thinking about planting a fall plot as well next to it.

I'm waiting on a new pup. A wire-haired dachshund which will be trained as a blood tracker for wounded game....that alone will keep me busy once ever week or two making practice/training runs etc...

Between the new pup, shooting the bow, working around the house etc....Archery season will be here before I'm ready. Then come's fall turkey, second season archery, time elapse and spring season will be here once again.

Don't wish your life away one season at a time, make the most of off seasons.

I will be buying some new calls for next season and one of them will be a mouth call so, I will be learning on how to use it. Some time during the off season I will be buying me another turkey gun, I have it down to two and will decide later on which one. I will be building a shooting house for me and my son for deer season. Never to early to get ready for the next season.

It's always tough to say goodbye to another turkey season. It just goes by so fast. I've been bass fishing since late April. Been doing pretty good I might add. I still find myself looking at turkey hunting videos though. I just can't seem to get away from it even though my season has been over since April 16th. I will start working on my property for the upcoming deer season. Bow season opens in 4 months. Less than 10 months to opening day for turkeys. Deer and duck hunting will keep me busy til next spring. Going to do a little deep sea fishing this summer also.
