I also shoot sitting most of the time. In fact I've only shoot (at game) standing a hand full of times. I practice shooting from an elevated, sitting positionas often as possible.

Win 7mm mag would be my choice. I love mine. Can bump down to 150 gr for deer and up to 180gr for elk ect....Great gun, smooth, flat shooting and accurate.

I usually hunt with a bow but when I do use a rifle it depends. In open country I use my 7mm mag (winchester) 150 or 180 gr.... In heavily wooded areas its the open sighted 30-30....
