Default new hunting method!

My cousin was out doing some man drives with a couple friends on the last day of the season when a few small deer jumped up bout 75-100 yds infront of him. The deer take off running wide open, and one of them runs slam into a fence post and is DRT! They thought he was just knocked out, but he didn't have a heartbeat so they put him in the truck. He apparently broke his neck when he hit the fence post. It was just a poor little button head, but I thought the story was worth posting. I was skeptical ofhis story, but I saw them skin the deer, with no bullet holes, and had no other injuries, besides a crooked neck.

My uncle had a group of deer come up the same firebreak he was on. When they saw him they flipped over backwards and ran into one anotherto get away. They snapped the neck of a young one and killed it. Weiredst thing he has seen. He tagged it too, no use wasting it.

No wasted meat and save a little $$$ on ammo. Not a bad deal.

Kind of along the same lines. I've watched deer run straight into a tree after they were shot. I'm sure that if the bullet didn't kill them then a head-on collision with a tree at full speed would have. It just sounded like it hurt.

Ive had my black lab actually catch quail, like she would be pointing it and the quail was in some thick brush and my dog actually just jumped it and caught it as the quail was trying to fly away. i thought it was pretty amazing.

I jumped a nice six point three years ago while driving. It took off and ran right into a big oak, kicked about four times then just layed still. Craziest thing I ever saw. We took it and skinned it, and it had a big infection on its back, so we threw it out. That may be why it ran into the tree not sure.
