Default Sit or stand?

I was just curious how you guys shoot out of your stand? Do you mostly stand up to take shots or sit down?I have shot 2 bucks out of a stand and both times I have been sitting while shooting. When I practice though I am always standing and hardly ever practice sitting down. Let me know what you guys do now or have done in the past.

I have taken a few shots while sitting, but most of the time I try to stand. Now, when I'm using my viper it's hard to stay standing since it's so comfy.

I stand up in the stand. But if I was on the ground I'd shoot from sitting on my knees.

I don't think I have ever taken a shot from a stand while sitting. I stand most of the time and if I am sitting when a deer comes it I try to get up. It has cost be a shot here and there, but I just don't feel comfortable shooting while sitting, so I don't.

I've shot 80% of my game sitting. When I hunt in a Treestand or a Blind it's usually from daylight until dark, and I want to be as comfy, quiet, and move as little as possible.

So I sit, and I won't stand unless something is coming to my offside and I know I have to stand up to turn around to shoot. If they are where I expect them to be I just pull my Bow back and Drill'em

I shot my doe while I was sitting. I wasn't in a stand though, it was off the ground.

MeanV, do you also practice while sitting? I find that it is not too much different shooting sitting down from standing. That could just be me though.

I have in the past, just to check, but nothing ever changes for me. IMO consistent shooting is mostly about upper body postion, and form.

I have a friend that shoots much better sitting down. IMO it's because he is not real stable on his feet.
