if it's a good price pick it up and shoot it. you can shoot steel and i have allot of friends that shoot 2 3/4 shells and kill just as many if not more ducks/geese as i do with my benelli.

i don't think the hunt really matters, look at the percentage of land MD makes up on the pan handle ...PA and WV already have bear seasons ...i can't see any real harm in adding MD into the fold...
