If you had a post ban rifle such as a ar-15 or mini-14, can you use the before banned accessories on them now??? or do they still fall under some category that doesnt allow you to use flash suppressors or folding stocks etc????

i don't know. what i do know is that i have a post-ban ar-15 w/o a flash supressor and a post ban ak-47 with a thumbhole stock and the bayonet lug cut off and i can get better models of each which contain the flash supressor, pistol grip and bayonet lugs for cheaper then i paid for what i got now.
i'm figuring i'm going to be doin some trading.

When the ban first went into effect it jumped the price of the assault type weapons ,in some cases almost double thier original cost . It makes you wonder what effect it will have on gun prices now that it is removed . I was looking at some hi-cap magazines for a 10-22 Ruger in the latest Shotgun News . They wanted $54.95, I think I'll wait awhile .

It's now a no ban rifle. There are a few states with similiar bans still on the books. Your lower must have been configured at the time of enactment, yada, yada. What I find most interesting about all of this is that there is a AR15 pre-ban lower trade in being set up, where by you can get a new lower if you trade in your Pre-Ban lower to be sold to someone (legally) in one of these states. These laws, which are supposed to prevent the proliferation of "Assault Weapons" in these states, will in fact be causing their proliferation.

I might have to start looking for a true folding stock for my SKS now. I bought the gun and 30 round clip pre-ban. I bought the synthetic folding stock for it post ban. It can be folded if you pull out the pin and block but it swings loose and you dont want to shoot it from the shoulder. Mine has the factory bayonet too. I would also like to find a 50 round for it, i saw one right after the ban went into effect for 20 bucks and didnt buy it, now its probably a crazy price.
