trout with stewed tomatos
- 16oz can of stewed tomatos- Hunt's italian
2 trout, split, with backbone removed
2 T butter
- place stewed tomatoes in a large deep frying pan, and heat on low setting.
while tomatoes are heating, melt butter in a second frying pan.
when butter is melted, place trout in pan and sprinkle with the spices.
gently cook trout for approx 4 minutes, then turn.
again, sprinkle trout with spices, and cook for an additional 4 minutes.
remove trout from pan and place on now heated stewed tomatoes.
cook for an additional 4 minutes.
remove from heat and serve. we like ours over rice.
