I planted three smallish plots today. One each of buckwheat, Buck Forage Oats and Biologic's Non-Typical Clover. We are supposed to get a few thundershowers tomorrow afternoon so the timing should be good.

I have prepared a food plod at my stand and I am waiting for all this stinking rain to stop so, I can prepare another. Then I am going to, plant Brasica in one and Duranna clover in the other. I wish I would have gotten to plant before all this rain started.

That sounds like perfect timing! Getting those plots in before a good rain is always a win. Buckwheat should come up fast and help with soil health, while the Buck Forage Oats are a great choice for drawing in deer, especially in the cooler months. Biologic's Non-Typical Clover is a solid perennial—it should provide long-term forage if it establishes well. Keep us posted on how they come up after the showers!
