I have shot a number of deer with a longbow, but a few years ago I purchased a Schafer Silvertip Recurve. I had yet to harvest one with it, but finally succeeded this past week.



I got some great footage of the hunt and made a tribute video to Paul Schafer.

Congratulations with your harvest and that is a gorgeous bow. Brings back memories of hunting with a recurve. I was bowhunting long before compounds came out. My first kill was with a Damon Howitt "Queen" recurve way back in '65. both archery and muzzleloading are my passions.
