No surprise...their prices were ridiculous and they hadextremely low sales volumes compared to the big boys...not a good formula to stay in business...just surprised it didn't happen a year or so ago

Muzzleloading is a one shot sport...we know that going in and accept the challege...IMO, there's no such thing as a "fast follow up shot" so there's no need to load right back up in a dirty barrel.

Yes, "normally" a smallish OP wad of some sort and a tad more shot than powder works well...but all smoothbores sometimes don't understand "normally" and you have to get creative.

There's no foulingbuildup with these wads...they keep the fouling so minimal and soft, that every time you load the next wad it pushes what little fouling there is down on top of the powder where...

Oh I don't think they've changed theformula of the lube itself...it's probably been mink oil all along...they've just always used a cover smell of wintergreen or pine scent

I just rummaged around in the garage and found what I was remembering...it was a tub of "Mink Oil"...(not SnoSeal)...and it is precisely the same smell, soft white paste...the lube in the white...

Around here,in cold weather thehumidity is usually low...January/February Saturdays I'm at the range right after first light, 18*-20*, the Hoppes soaked patches work fine...and I keep them more wet...
