dont know where u live but they gave good ideas also alot of fun hunting them in the snow I live in pennslyvania and our season opens up again in january we get most of them in the snow I take turns...

I bought a fishfinder just for ice fishing I use it to tell the depth of the water the lake where i fish has a sand bar out in the middle so we had to drill a mess of holes to find it sometimes ...

i also use a bobber sometimes I use ultra light pole and reel and the smallest bobber i can find otherwise I use poppers and fish a lot with rubber worms hooked weedless and slowly pull them...
