The Gun did not kill that person. The person pulled the trigger. If you agree,Then why do so many hunters judge a fellow hunters ethics according to the Weapon
method ,if legal
area
size of animal
They kill. After all the weapon used and all the rest of the factors dont make a ethical hunter .The hunters actions as far obeying the laws and responsible actions in the field is what matters. That gun,bow,x-bow,or beinging a city deer hunter dont control the persons actions ,Good or bad. The individual person decides that.
Why do I bring this up. Cause I was blasted for hunting in suburban areas for deer with a x-bow. Called lazy, told I was shooting tame deer and Im a slob that is to stupid to shoot a real bow. This name calling among are selves serves no purpose except to divide.

You are right cd thats why I think farmers also have a hard time sometimes if they would band together it would make it easier. if you hunt with a weapon doesnt that make you a hunter

I agree with you to a certain extent. I still don't believe crossbows should be allowed for archery season in Pennsylvania, but it doesn't mean those people are unethical. As for shooting suburban deer, if people would only come out to where I live and hunt, then they would see what true suburban hunting is, Deer are far from tame. Heck, my hunting groun is inbetween a prison, a airport, a highway, and a development. The deer are FAR from tame. People who say things like that are just jealous. The new wave of hunting is in suburban areas. They probablly aren't allowed on this land because of their total lack of respect.
Good Luck This Season: Buck Magnet
P.S. Only Chuck Adams can sit at home and see deer so get into the woods. =;^)

Funny how the biggest whiners are compond shooters. The crossbow has been around alot longer so is a more primative weapon. Some people think that a crossbow shoots like a rifle and gives the shooter an unfair advantage. Truth is, the lighter bolt of the crossbow loses velocity and energy so fast that the crossbows range is very limited. I say any compound shooter that complains about crossbows should learn more about the sport. Maybe they should shoot a selfbow so they don't have an unfair advantage. After all, when archery seasons were first approved, bows didn't have wheels, cables, peep sights, or stabilizers!
Muzzle loader shooters are doing the same thing. It's the traditional vs inline argument.
United we stand, divided we fall. The antis know this, just as Stalin knew it.
Who's side are you folks on?
