Do you know where you're bullet is landing, short , long, left or right. Might help people give you an answer. I'm not a long range shooter, 300yds or so is where I draw the line so I cant help you....

That's a 5 year lag between being given the authority to do something and attempting to do it. IMO there isn't much desire or support to make the change or it would have been done...

If you're looking at a deer rifle out to 300 yds thereare a ton of good options out there that will do the job.

The 7mm Rem Mag something that you might want to consider instead of a 264WM.

The Dakota cartridges were one of the first beltless magnum designs. As far as I know they remain a proprietary cartridge.

Performance wise I think its closer to a7 Ultra Mag than a 7mm Rem...

I haven't looked recently but Ruger and Browning would be your best bet for finding a new 280. I haven't heard that either of them have dropped the 280.

I THINKthe 25-35 is obsolete pistol type round. Far less powerful than a 30-30. Ammo would probably be pretty expensive, if we can find it.

I can wrap my mind around the physics and you're wrong. A 308 bullet passing through a hog STILL expends more engery in the target than a 40 that expends...

You have to be joking... You're recommending Snakebite use his 40 instead of staying with his 308 to hunt hogs :eek:
Hogs can be both difficult and dangerous, it's irresponsable to suggest his 40...

I know that when I was a kid it seemed liked almost all 22LR ammo had sometype of a wax coating on the bullet. Is it(was it) really wax, I don't know. I dont recall having any problems.
