Montana's deadline is not until June 1, results of the drawing are around August 15th. Depending on the region you hunt, I've hunted eastern region (700 series) and it's about a 75% chance to draw...

We hunted the 700 zone the first week of the season last October and had an absolute blast, saw alot of animals. Start looking into BLM land or Block Management land, you can't go wrong.

I prefer to do things the hard way, I get more enjoyment out of it!! A kids snow sled works good, as does a sheet of smooth 40 mil HDPE (plastis sheeting, really thick) And if I don't have them...
