Doesn't look anywhere near 220 to me...... Compare that to Milo Hansen's deer... Not even in the same category IMO...

WOW, that is a very large deer. However, I too would have to agree with some of the others on here. I don't think that that deer is 220 inches nor is it larger than Milo Hanson's. I would honestly make a guess of between 185"-195 " I think that would be closer to the mark...possibly 200" but that would be pressing it in my opinion.
Besides, for them to officially score that deer, doesn't the rack and the skull both need time to dry?
Those are both very fast times to get your mount back and have your deer scored in my opinion.

It is a VERY large deer, don't get me wrong. But even if they green scored it, I would like to know where they came up with the extra 20 or so inches of rack, that I and a couple others on here can't see.

yeah actually I was kind of wondering the same thing. I wasn't sure about that either. The split g2's and the brows would really give some deductions. I'm wondering if that was the non-typ. score or what. I'm from Indiana and haven't heard a thing about it. I can say that I don't blame them for keeping it a secret. I probably would have done the same thing with all the crap the other guy went through in Indiana. It's a hoss either way. I can't wait to hear some more details though for sure.

It's quite possibly maybe a 200-something gross score. It's hard to tell from that picture and there seem to be a lot of "character" points.

It probably went something like this:

1. Tommy shoots deer
2. Guy gets it green scored by someone he knows... it scores 198. It's called a two hundred class buck.
3. His buddy gets drunk and tells everyone at the bar that his friend "shhhaht a t-t-t-twhooo-hunrren--arverumpty c-class BUcchhk..."
4. Story around town is, Tommy shot a 210" monster.
5. News gets a hold of the story, by then the rumors have the buck up to 215"
6. "Two fifteen?!! That's a 220 class buck!!! Hey Harold, how big is the world record???"
7. Tommy can no longer show his face in public for fear of everyone finding out the truth, even though he never said it was 220", everyone thinks he did.
