Default Help me age this buck

I'm interested in aging this buck I shot last fall. I took it out of the freezer the other day to do a European mount and took some photos. I don't have alot of experience aging deer and hoped some guys here are biologists or experienced. Based on the teeth charts I estimated it to be 3 1/2 yrs., based on tooth wear and dentine.

Shot in suburban New England and primary diet is urban woodlands mast crop and shrubbery with some fields of hay/grass. Thanks for any help

This is the upper right jawbone

Different areas different ways to tell, From the teeth I would say 4 1/2 no question.Look at the Dentine.

Agreed - the back molar has obvious wear on the buccal crest.

It appears that it doesn't show any signs of wear with age. I think your pretty accurate in assuming that its around3-1/2 yrs in age. Bobby

4-5, based on the wear.

I say 2.5 or 3.5 tops.... first of all,the pic of the bottom teeth is obviously the one to look at. The crests are in fine shape, almost pointy. Certainly NOT more worn than the pic below....

My best guess would be about 3.5 years though I am strictly an amateur with this type of guesswork.
