RE: Replacement string

I've used Zebra, various local string makers and Winners Choice. Winners Choice, you get what you pay for.

RE: i got ripped off!!

I've ran into the same problems with local shops, and the so called experts that work there. As the old saying goes, "If you want something done right, do it yourself". If it's important, you'll find...

RE: Good Treestand

I've had good luck with API. I use a Baby Grand and 2 AL100's. I also have a Summit Viper climber that I use for state land, also a very good stand.

Check out Muck Boots. I've used a pair of the Woody Max for two seasons now with no complaints. Warm, dry and very comfortable.

RE: mathews legacy any good?

No clue on the actual arrow speed. The Legacy is a great shooting, well balanced, quiet bow. I'm glad to own one.

RE: Browning A-Bolt with BOSS

My Boss is in 30.06 and even the non ported muzzlebreak seems louder than any other 30.06 I've shot. Why is the ported soooo loud? I have a Magna Ported 12 ga. that isn't any louder than my other...

RE: Omega shooters; What base and rings?

I was checking those out as well. I share your concern about stripping the aluminum. I've done that too many times and ruined too many parts. I think I'll stick with steel for scope mounting.

RE: Omega shooters; What base and rings?

I thought after repeated shots the recoil would cause the quick release to get sloppy. Not true?

Omega shooters; What base and rings?

What scope base and rings are you using? I'm mounting a 3x9x40 Buckmaster in matte blue to a stainless Omega. I am considering the Leupold dual dovetail, Maxima ($$$) and Leopold Rifleman (Warne &...

RE: TruBall Pro Diamond?

I've tried a T-Handle with caliper jaws that I wouldn't use for hunting. With gloves and the cold weather I feel a caliper head T-Handle would be very cumbersome. I may consider trying one that...

RE: T/C brand scope??

Thanks for all the input. I've decided on the Leupold FXII 4x28 in silver for the 44mag, and another Nikon Buckmaster 3/9x40 in silver for the Omega.

RE: The Block

I use the portable mainly for broadheads. I get a little poke through with field points, but never a pass through. Broadheads do chew it up but nothing is designed to last forever.
