wanting to boar hunt??

i live in the upper peninsual of michigan, and am wondering if anyone knows or anywhere to hunt freeranging boar(not in a game preserve) nearby? doesnt have to be really near, im thinking about taking a trip to missouri but havent found much info about hunting them there either. all replies are welcome???

Silenthunter, I just got back from a boar hunt last weekend in Oklahoma and came back with a 150 and 300 lb boars. This is a knife or spear hunt and really is a safe hunt, but does have its element of danger...LOL If this is what you might be looking for, contact Darrin Bradley at [email protected] and ask him for the phone # or I can get it for you. He is my boss and paid for several of us to go on the hunt after deer season was over.

Hopefully if won't be long and we'll have some wild hogs of our own. I'm from MI and a frequent reader of Wood & Waters magazine. Either the Nov or Dec issue had an article about a game preserve in the UP that discovered a hole in thier fence and realized that a few of there Russian's escaped. If memory serves me it was around Baraga. At the hogs rate of repro it shouldn't be long before the UP is overrun. Cool...
