What was it, a bdl or an sps? Those are the lower line of th 700. It sounds like you would be saving roughly $100 not considering the scope. My guess is the scope is a $35 Bushnell or something...

For that caliber I would go with 180 to 220. For something like my 7mm Rem Mag I would use 160 or 162 grains. The most important thing however is to make sure your new rifle is not too picky about...
