Alright guys (and gals),

I found an 08 Allegiance at the pro shop with the smooth mods rated with an IBO at 313 at 29". So, at my draw legnth, what type of IBO would I be looking at realistically set at 65 lbs and a 360 grain arrow? And how does it compare to the Black Ice?

Is the 313 set on 70 LB with a 350 gr. arrow?
If yes, here is an estimate:

-5 # draw weight subtract 12 fps
+ 10 gr. of arrow weight subtract 3 fps
- 1 1/2'' of draw subtract 15 fps (27.5'' draw)

313-30= 283 fps

Thanks! It is only shooting about 15 fps faster than my Black Ice then. I am going to wait and see what they come out with for 2009 being a loyal Bowtech fan and all.

I suppose that I could get their speed mods but I don't want the harsh draw cycle. Is the harsh draw cycle of the speed mods really that bad? Anyone know?

It doesn't have speed mods, I though it seemed slow for an Allegiance.
Speed mods should give you another 9 fps.
I had an Allegiance with speed mods. I didn't think the draw was bad.

292 compared to 264 at 65 lbs should give me a significant difference in trajectory on out to 50 or 60 yards correct?

The speed mods aren't bad at all. You get used to them quickly.

Hopefully the Bowtech dealer that I bought my Black Ice from is still open. I am going to give it a try with the speed mods. Then I am going to wait until around October when the 09's come out and decide from there.

I shoot an 08 Ally, with speed mods, with a 27.5 DL at 65 pounds and a 363 grain arrow and shoot right at 280 fps. And the draw with the speed mods isn't bad at all
