God Bless every man and woman who have served this country through the military.

To Vietnam Vets: You may not have got the respect you deserved when you came home, but there was a 15 year old kid (in 1972) who was awed by every one of you.

To OIF & OEF Vets: Don't let the mistakes of how our Vets were treated upon return from Vietnam come back totreatyou the same way.

Never forget the men and women who are putting their lives on the line on foreign soil while we sit here in comfort!!!

U.S. Coast Guard
Yeoman First Class (E-6)
1979-1996*

*In 1996, Slick Willy and Congress approved an "early out" - a 15 year retirement plan for all branches of the military. I thought about it, discussed it with my family, and after 17 years, I jumped ship and went, "See ya!", and retired with 17 years instead of 20. I still get full VA benefits, and a retirement pension (which was calculated at my base pay rate at 17 versus 20 - which still isn't bad when you think about it).
