That was the first thing I noticed too.

I got one of those for my 3 year old for his birthday in April. My 12 year old shoots a PSE, my 3 year old shoots the NXT and I all shoot on a regular...

If you aren't doing it already...put a bead at the front and back of the fletching. Mine did the same thing. Also, did you scotchbrite them before refletching them? Most of the time, from the factory...

Idon't know the technical aspect of it. To me it's like an arrow wrap. Here are the ones I shot today. The cresting is the white area at the nock end of the arrow.

That episode meant splitting it from nock to insert like on the Robin Hood movies. They even had a pro archer robin hood it...but it only went in about 8 to 10 inches, not all the way.

Always check your arrows for damage. I had one that had a hairline crack near the nock. It took two of us to find it.
