Soft and light on my index hunting release because it WILL get punched(controlled but punched nontheless.....
No travel and fairly heavy on a double sear thumb trigger for target shooting because it will NOT get punched.

I have about 6 releases I rotate during offseason. I prefer them all to be a little different.
Ranging from light to hard and I even have a BT & relax release in the mix. It keeps me from getting used to where a certain release will go off.
When it comes time for hunting I prefer a fairly light trigger

I prefer it a little heavy with NO trigger travel.
I will settle into my release when aiming at a deer and squeeze it off when I need to take the shot or punch it off it that is required but under no circumstance do I want to be scared to lay my finger on the trigger. That causes MANY problems.
I use extremely heavy on a target release.

The last thing I want is a hair trigger.
I like to shoot with some back tension, so I like my trigger to be on the stiff side. But not TOO stiff. I want to be pulling into the back wall when the trigger goes off, but not to the point where I'm over-rotating the cams, if that makes sense.
