This question popped up while discussing Outfitters in the Deer Hunting Forum. I'd like to know how many bowhunters out there do it the "hard" way. I'd like to know who out there bowhunts deer and doesn't use ANY of the following:

- horns orrattle bags
- grunt call
- doe bleat
- scent attractant
- food attractants
- cover scent
- camo clothing

Let's hear it.

I used to use some of that stuff, But most of the time it didnt work or it scared the deer away. Now I just hunt really good spots and do a TON of scouting.

I shoot a recurve bow (nothing fancy) Just saying!

I rattle with antlers.
Camo clothing.
I use a trail camera.
Some grunt calls as well I use.

Next to no one!! Almost every single hunter out there, reguardless of what they hunt, or what they hunt with (weapon) uses at least one of the above mentioned. I'd bet borrowed money on it.
I should mention that I have killed afew doe (shotgun)years ago,using none of the above. From the ground no less. It can be done.

I only hunt naked with a stick I sharpenedusing my teeth. If you don't hunt like that then you hunt the easy way .

Ouch! Mesquito's had to really be a pain!!

Not really, the stick is so sharp that I can spear them and eat them for a snack while hunting . Better than beef jerky. If you eat beef jerky and not mosquitos then you are hunting the easy way .

The only thing i don't use from that list is food attractent. I have a feeder but its for picture taking purposes only.

Isn't bowhunting doing it the hard way??
