RE: A good rifle for a kid

Congrats new dad. My suggestion would be to start him off with a bb/pellet gun. I know you said something both of you could use, but first things first. It's going to be awhile till he's deer...

RE: My buddies monster ohio buck (pics) score update gross 181 net 175 inches

RE: new to deer hunting

Can't really add too much advice from previous posts, all sound wisdom. Hooking up with an experienced hunter as a "mentor" to show you the ropes and lend their hard earned knowledge would be near...

RE: How was everyones hunting season

Had a great year. Fairly nice mulie for me but the real kick was my best friend since junior high finally getting a record book whitey. Won't ever forget the excitement of that. I knew when severe...

RE: The Art of posting and comment to White Raven.

NEB.Buckhunter,
Nice choice of trucks. Luv Chevy trucks. (Thinking about a Ford for my next one though, ARGGGGGHHHHH, can't believe I'm entertaining the thought, but they look so fine).

RE: Where do you hunt?

Public, b.l.m and block mgmt. areas. Days of paying to hunt,(other than license), are history. Hunt Montana and after many years of B.S. & T. don't need to pay any extra for hunting P.P.

RE: Poll on hunting in high fences.

Several thousand acres is a large area. Still, there's a fence around it. Just not my cup of tea. IMHO

RE: Need a crushing one liner for antis

There is no short, sweet and to the point remark that you can give an anti that will in any way change their opinion. Sad but true. I once had a secretary who had a houseful of birds, cats, dogs,...

RE: Is getting a liscense out of state too expensive?

After many years hunting Montana as a non resident, this would appear to be the case. Currently $628 big game combination license. MT has a draw system for applicants so even at the price, not very...

Wondering how many others feel that after many years using the same rifle & scope and being sighted in to match the most likely shooting distances where you're hunting feel like they just can't miss...
