Is getting a liscense out of state too expensive?
I have been looking at going out of state for a few days and it just seems outrageous to have to pay nearly 150-200 dollars in some states to turkey or deer hunt for 3 days or so. If it can be so cheap for in state people then it can't be because they have no other choice. Does anybody agree with me?

You must remember in-state residents pay state income tax, property tax & sales tax all year long. I think in-state residents deserve the lower priced license.

yes i agree that residents deserve a cheaper lisense but my goodness, 80-100 dollars for a 3 or 7-day lisense for an out of state resident. Plus say a 20 dollar turkey tag and a 20 dollar public land lisense. It gets up in the 150-200 dollar range in most states compared to maybe a 40 dollars to cover all seasons and all game for in-state like here in NC. I think it would be fair if the gap was closed a little like 30-40 bucks for a 3 day lisense for out-of-state since thats what in state pays for a year.

And they wonder why so many folks take their chances without a license? Kinda hurts the wallet when you come up with a dry run. And if you do score you have say $300 in a deer taken out of state. $125- license $100-deer stamp $75-processing. Darn, I better take up a cheaper habit like crack cause this hunting thing is getting expensive!
