If you had the chance to do it all over again, would you?

Thanks, Kev

RE: Savage 22-250

It's a great rifle. Do you need the 22-250 or would the 223 work just as well for you? I only ask because in my opinion, the 250 isn't worth the extra powder it takes to push the same bullet. I...

There is no comparison between the two, except that they are both .308 in caliber. The .308 Wnchester cartridgefires its bulletmuch faster, with greater energy and has a much flatter trajectory.

The .17 caliber will blow off target with a 10 mph breeze much easier than the .223

RE: reloading 223 with blue dot

A lot of guys will hesitate to give actual recipes in fear of getting sued.

If you ever try IMR 3031 in .223, I have a good load that shoots VERY accurate out of 3 different rifles.

Anybody who hasn't missed, hasn't been hunting very long. Everyone will miss eventually.

Stay in the stand and keep hunting, those gun shots don't scare them too bad.

If you want to see it, go to a benchrest competition sometime. If those guys don't shoot a 1/4" group the first round, they get laughed out of the place.
