I agree about the ammo.. I had a 22-250 single shot that had the cases keep getting stuck. it only happened when I used the new winchester ammo.. I went back to remington and it worked well.

Your Savage is a fine rifle. Take it to a gunsmith and have them check it out. I doubt that it is anything too serious.

I seen something like this in an auto actually, the problem turned out to be poor gun maintenance. I would look for some RUST in the chamber, as the shells expand a little when fired; they get stuck in the rust pitting in the chamber. Take it to a gunsmith and get it looked at, ESPECIALLY the chamber!

I think I solved my problem. I switched ammo and shot it again. It ejected fine. So Im pretty sure that's what it was. Thanks for all the info.
