what ranges do you plan to use shoot 'em in? If it's solely for coyotes and they're be any chance of shots longer than 100yds I's shy away from the 17. any of the .22's will work beautifully on coyotes well past 100yds. .223 will be the cheapest on ammo thought. I'd look at a .243 just because...well I am looking at a .243 as a plink/coyote/varmint/deer do-all rifle...compare the 75gr ballistics with .223 and 22-250 and you'll see why. Ammo isn't easily found around me though. Again...I don't think you can go wrong with ANY of the .22 centerfires. Good luch and let us know what you end up with.

Heres a 223 that will reach out and keep reaching out. With a good scope with windage and elevation settings and lots of practice you could easly drop a yote at 1200+ yrds. I am goanna pic one up soon myself.
