Python, have you cast projectiles from 'lighter' materials yet.

We used to cast from manganese...you get the diameter without the weight.
Manganese is hard to cast, gives you fits sometimes...

stubblejumper, you are absolutely right... the 7mm HornyHEAVY MAG does muster more umph than that of the 30-06 LIGHT MAG.

I like the 7mm-08 or the 30-06. Both launching Hornady Light Magnums, 139gr. and 165gr.SST respectivley.

The difference in "feel" between the XCR and CDL may be the width of the top of the comb, the CDL being a tad bit wider than the XCR.
Also the XCR, being lighter in all the wrong places lends...

Neither one of them are going to be a problem for you.
I don't think you necessarily have to have the extractor replaced on the CDL, we sell a lot of 700's, and use them ourselves and have not had...
