About the only thing that maybe missing is a 50cal Muzzleloader for biggame, though that really depends on your area and advantages/usage one would bring.Of course if you include birds into the equation a shotgun or two/3 is a must.

My mainstay cabinet is as follows:
17hmr (small game)
22-250 (varmits)
25-06 rem (varmits/deer sized)
7mm rem mag (biggame)
338wm (Elk, Moose and Big bears)
50 cal ml (big game)
12 GA (birds)

Covers NA hunting needs pretty well I figure, about the only addition would be a bush gun that would be an upgrade from my Winchester 30/30...but i rarily use it so not a big priority. Of course like most gun/hunting addicts i have others that could be placed in the above list as well, however these are my choices now!

Seems to be well thought out to me. No major gaps.

I would certainly add a good .22 LR. bolt gun and a 20 and 12 gauge for birds.

17, 204, 243, 7MM, 338

The only gaps/missing parts I could possibly see/imagine would be something in the .270-30.06 range, the 7mm Rem Mag is a magnum...so I see a slight jump between a .243 and the 7mm mag. Though i suppose if the .243 isn't enough the 7mm will be, you just might be carrying more gun than you have to. The .338 does have enough for all of NA, though I'd like a .375 or bigger to cap it off, though it's not essential.

My personal ideal battery would be...

.22LR, everyone needs a .22LR right? Have.
.204 Ruger or .22-250 Rem, not sure which. Don't have.
.243 Win. Have.
.270 Win. Have.
.300 Win. Mag. Have.
.340 Wby. Have.
.375H&H Don't have.
.416 Ruger Don't have.
.458 Lott Don't have.

Be careful trying to fill in the gaps. Your sickness will begin to grow until you end up with so many guns you can't decide which one to hunt with. I've been filling the gap for years now and I have spent a lot of dough. I've learned a lot and found that some guns no matter how cool they seem aren't worth the extra cost of the good ol' faithful.

Here's what I've settled on for hunting guns.
22LR No more 17's
.223
22.250
.243
.270
30.06
300RUM
50 CAL black powder
Various Shotguns

Edit-I could do it all with a 22LR and a 30.06!

There are many 7mm chamberings.Which do you have?If you don't have the 7x57 or 7-08 I would strongly suggest adding one. They're great!

I think you did a great job picking your guns & spacing them out to avoid "caliber overlap".

I myself did not do a good job of caliber/rifle selection. I wish I could have all my money back to do it all over again.

I would pick them as follows:
22-lr
223
22-250
270-winchester
340-Weatherby
12-gauge shotgun.
