RE: Massive Deer Feeding Mission in Colorado

I go to that area several times a year and have all my life. Though there is alot of snow this year, it's not like it's the first time it's happened. I can remember years when the deer and elk were...

RE: How Has High Gas Prices Messed Up Your Deer Hunting ?

Didn't really think about it at the time as I office four blocks from my house and never think much about gas. Hated my last two credit card bills though. Didn't think about it at the time as I can...

RE: Mule deer or Whitetail

Just my experience, but it's much easier to get close to a big mulie than a whitetail. They are just much more timid. I think part of that has to do with the terrain I have hunted for both. The...

RE: Worst Morning of Hunting

I've had mornings like that. Opening weekend, I had the stomach flu but still hunted pretty hard. I hunted a tripod next to a group of trees and took a bucket with me. I won't go into further detail....

This year is the first time I've really tried and used calls, rattling, grunts, etc. It will also most likely be the last.

Maybe it's the increased vegetation, the weather, or something else,...

My vehicle of choice would be a Chevy truck, but I don't own one. My suburban gets the job done just fine though.

I hunt almost entirely alone on my property, but am at the mercy of others when invited to friends places. Even then, I'll typically take my own truck and always sit alone. The only exception is late...

RE: day after ice storm...go out?

If you have to drive there, stay in bed. If it's just a matter of walking to the stand/spot, I say why not? Not like you can drive to the office and you'll definitely hear any deer that are moving.
