It didn't stop me from hunting but,i'm really thinking about leasing a good piece of property close to home. it would cost me the same money that i spent running to where i hunt now. lots of things are changing fast because of fuel prices.

No change for me. I had 2 different out of state trips this year. One was 2300 miles one way and the other was 900. I did the same trips last year and the only difference is this year it cost more...a lot more.

It hasn't affected my deer hunting per say but i belong to another board for Ohio Hunters and they are always getting together for pheasant, Dove, and Turkey hunts together but they are 150-175 miles away one way. I can't afford that on my little budget.

My deer lease is 270m from my home. I just take more time on trips with fewer trips. Days in the field about the same.

I no longer douse deer in gasoline and light them to cook 'em. I hook them up to atractor battery and spray just a little gas on them until they ignite.Kind ofa hybrid!

It cost me 20 dollars every time I would go to the hunting lease, so there was less scouting and going to put out corn. Mainly just made the trip to hunt.
