if in 2008 Hunting was banned would you hunt ?
Lets pretend that ARA's make a very good lawsuit and in 2008 all fall deer hunting is suspended by law, its now illegal to kill deer
Would you still hunt ?
My reasoning is on the Political forum we're discussin non-res fees out west, and I said that at times I just felt like going out to Colorado, buy a small game tag but shoot a big bull if I see one ! I said that because it infuriates me the way non-res are treated in some states, then I got to thinking ...... would I REALLY hunt illegally ? I mean, what scenario would it have to be before I did it ? And if I can justify hunting because the ARA's banned it, why can't I justify hunting the elk out west when the DNR's of those states have all but canceled my big game hunting either by way of tag allotment, or just outpricing me ?
I know, far fetched as it is .... its something to ponder.
What if something radical happend, and compound were made illegal ? all in-line muzzleloaders ? All rifles (going to shotgun only) .... makes you THINK anyway huh ?

I would lay off the first year, the enforcement would be aggressive. It would also give me a year to watch the law enforcement tactics and patterns. After that, bow season starts when I say it starts!

I have a bumper sticker that says "when they outlaw guns, i will become an outlaw"! same philosophy here! all that does is make it an open season for everyone! dumbest thing anyone could do!

for sure i would hunt but that will never happend because we as hunters keep the population down.if it wasn't for us.there would be deer every where.there would be people hitting deer non-stop.if it does happen who cares i would still hunt.

I voted yes but now that I think about it I might not. My reasoning is this:
One year of no deer being killed would open the eyes of many people. Insurance rates go up, crops destroyed, people going hungry (we give lots of deer meat to the needy in our community) and it'd be open again. People don't seem to understand what hunters do for this country. Take it away and they'd learn the hard way.
