I have a Nikon Pro-Staff 2-7x 32mm shotgun scope. There pretty accurate scopes. They hold up really great compared to alot of other brands. I have had some nice shots because of this scope.

I think you will be able to adjust it your best deal at under 400. Zeiss Conquest are extremely clear compared to Pentax and Nikon. I'm a person of quality so it just my .02 cents.

I wouldn't pay the $150 dollars more difference because its a secondary gun and the only difference is your paying for a bit more light transmisson that you won't even be able to tell the difference....

I would take a look at Zeiss Conquest. They have interesting features and there glass is hands down clearer then 3200 elite and Monarch and Leupold. Kahles is a great idea too.

Nikon Prostaff is generally pretty clear and probably your cheapest bet. Any low class brand will break and you will waste money and time. Nikon Prostaff will hold up just fine.

Nikon XL gives youa bigger maginification then Landmark, and it is really not heavy at all. Also, like i said before it sliding sunshade which eliminates glares in bright conditions is a good feature...

Zeiss Conquest are great high end optics. I would check out Swarovski and Leica along with Zeiss. With these choices you won't waste money or go back to purchase any need binoculars anytime soon.

Don't let him force you to spend the $400 bucks for the Conquest. The 4200 is lovely and it really does compare up to the Conquest. I love the rainguard feature i think thats what threw the 4200 over...
