I was thinking about purchasing some refurbs, but i dont know if its a good idea or not. They come with warranties as well like new products but they save money. Has anybody had any bad experience with them or any knowledge on them?

Not all manufacturers offer the same lifetime warranty for refurbished items as for the new ones. But most of the famous brands do.
Usuallyall Factory Refurbished Productsare first quality and are carefully inspected and repackaged. Sometimes the box may be slightly damaged. But I think it's not a big deal if yousave 10-40%!!!
Visit our Refurbished section at http://www.binocularsbestbuy.com/Clearance-and-Closeouts.htmlor to have even better deal check our eBay store:

Unless your going after an optic thats retails over $1000.00 new,
I honestly don't think refurboptics are even is even worth considering..
Used is used and the price should reflect at least 35%-40% of the retail price..
Lets face these companies are still making a huge profit at that..
If you really take a hard look and compare refurbish optics to "New"
you'll be lucky to get 20% probably for the most part a discount of 10-15%...
If thats worth it to you great..
But saving45-50 bucks on a refurbished good, for something that retails for $300.00 New,really isn't that appealing
If you find something thats 35-40% grab it, but I'm betting you'll be looking a long time before you do...

I think refurbs will save you some good money. Alot of what ebay gives are refurbs but, even manufacturer refurb items will give you a great discount. I see it as saving money is saving money and money is always needed.

Well, I have no experience with hunting related refurb items, but I wouldn't hesitate to buy a manufacturer refurb from a company that makes high quality stuff.
I work in I.T. and see many electronic refurb items coming to the office. A lot of times the refurbs outlast and outperform the stuff that was purchased new.
My take on this:
New: There are a batch of xxx amount of items coming off the assembly line. a few are tested for quality control. There may be some untested items that will end up DOA or have problems.
Refurb: Each refurbished item is rebuilt to factory specs and tested individually to make sure it works.
Now, I don't work in the manufacturing industry, so I may be wrong about the above, and each company probably handles things differently, but this is how it has been described to me, and it seems to be accurate, because I see the end results first hand.
