RE: Left to right issue

Don't worry about foc with carbons. Doesn't seem to be a factor as it might with a compound. Some folks who shoot carbons have focs in the high 20% range without any problems.

RE: Left to right issue

I am not the best one to give advice, but here goes. The 2114 has a spine of 64#. I am tempted to think that with all the front end weight you have on the Gold Tip that you might have made the spine...

RE: Total newbie at trad....

BobCo,
I have to disagree with your "plateauing" statement above. I started out with no idea about how to shoot a trad bow. I figured it was just some "gift" that some people were born with.

I recommend that you buy Instinctive Archery Insights by Jay Kidwell. This is a great book that WILL teach you how to shoot in record time. I believe Amazon has it. You don't need to just fling...

RE: Trying to figure out what shaft...

I think 2020 would be a good choice. 2117s might work but they spine about 81lbs and I don't think you need something that stiff. On the lesser side 2018 might work and if you had some different...

RE: Trying to figure out what shaft...

There are some things to consider before you choose arrows. What kind of bow is it? The make and model tells us a little about the performance which affects spine requirements.

Is it fast,...

RE: need to get my bow quiet

You want to get your bow tuned with brace height and nock location correct. Cat whiskers are cheap and work fine.

Granted that heavier arrows will absorb more noise, but that may not be a...

RE: Somebody recommend a tougher glove?

For me it is important to be able to feel the string. The cordovan tipped gloves would not do it. I have settled on a Grizzly deer skin glove. It hasreinforced fingers but it is not so thickas to...

RE: PA Antler Restrictions, Thoughts now that it's been a couple of years.

Antler restrictions is sort of a scam. It was hung out there by Alt to get all the hunters wetting their pants. If the herd is hit too hard, it can't possibly provide more mature buck to hunt. It was...

RE: PA Antler Restrictions, Thoughts now that it's been a couple of years.

My thoughts on AR is that it depends on how your doe have been hammered by the HR program. If the area/areas you hunt have been pounded near bare of deer the thought that there may be a couple bigger...

RE: Wow, 450plus is loud

Remember, don't use the string length to calculate where the silencers go. Use the distance between contact points on your limbs with the bow strung.
