Default Aluminum Arrow Size

Hey guys, I think I'm going to switch to some aluminum shafts and wanted to make sure I was looking at the correct spine. My bow is a 50# at 28" and my draw is right around 29". According to the spine/sizing charts I should be shooting 2314's, 2117's, or 2216's. Just wanted to make sure that seems about right. Thanks.

I'm not sure what chart you're looking at but for traditional needs, I'd recommend looking at arrows by kelly's chart. It always seems a lot closer for me anyway. The normal easton chart always seems a little stiff.

Thanks bobco, that chart said a 65#, so I guess a .365-.390 spine should be correct. Gracias.

I think a 2018 cut to 30 inches would be about right for you.

I have a 29" draw length. When I shot 50#, 2018's and 2117's cut to 30" both worked well for me.

I shoot longbow and with a dacron string 52# at 29", I find 2016's 29" is great and 2018's 30" is good. But if you are shooting recurve, going to change significantly. Also if you have a ff string I find it will change.

The best choice for your bow would be the 2314's. They should be spined just right at that drawlength.

Thanks. I figured that anything with a spine somewhere around .360"-.395" inches of deflection should work. Thanks everyone.
